Rafiki is one of the original members of Team Rwanda and our resident comedian. He has been a consistent performer and team leader in many local and international races. “Kiki” is a father to a little boy, Jonathan, named after his coach Jonathan Boyer. Recently, Kiki purchased a home on the outskirts of Kigali, his first home, with money he earned riding and racing for Team Rwanda.

During the 1994 genocide, Rafiki escaped Kigali and lived with his grandmother. He was separated from his parents and sibling for five years after the genocide. Today they all reside in Kigali.
